Networking Event – HomeCOMing

I attended HomeCOMing at Canisius. It was in Science Hall and open to all students and Canisius alums. It was a pretty straightforward event where you could mingle with anyone. I met a woman who works as a graphic designer and we chatted about her experience at Canisius and what she did after she graduated. I also got to catch up with Professor O’Neil and Thomas who graduated last year. We talked about his job at Roswell and what he’s been up to the past few months. I got to speak with some of my friends that I do not have classes with this semester, so it was nice to see them and talk about how they have been doing. I did not meet as many new people as I probably should have, but now I know how I can improve at future events. I will work on initiating conversations with new people and becoming more comfortable in networking settings.
