Hello, my name is Giuseppe Meli and I am a Digital Media Arts Major at Canisius College. For the past two and half months, I have been interning at the Buffalo Bisons working for their Big Board team. It has been an exciting experience with many memorable moments. Every time I head in for a game I am excited.
Going into my internship, I wasn’t sure what to expect as this would be my first internship and first time working in a professional environment like this. When I first walked through the booth on my first day, while slightly overwhelming, everything that I would have to work on from editing videos to using cameras felt familiar. During games, I have helped shoot the game for broadcast, run the graphics station, create highlights for the website, and create Celebrity Look-a-Likes for the Big Board.
The team I have worked with has been amazing and fun to work with. Along with that, they have helped me learn and improve in my tasks. I’m excited to continue working over the summer and have new experiences.
