This past Friday, I was fortunate to attend a networking event with all of Pegula Sports & Entertainment entities. We have had Zooms all season long with the opportunity to learn more about each department in Intern workshop monthly meetings, but It was great to actually put names to faces! This is the first time they have dedicated time to an actual internship program, and I think they did a great job.
The pandemic hindered many other ideas, like seeing how the Rochester Americans operate by going on a tour and a game as a group. But, I am happy that we were able to all get together, share our career aspirations, and have great food in the process. Another great perk of the event was having Kim Pegula there with us, and she asked me lots of questions about how I was enjoying the internship since we last spoke.
As the internship is slowly coming to a close, I’m pleased that I got to connect with interns across many different departments, and I wish them all sustained success!
