My name is Sanjoy Paul, I am a senior with the DMA program at Canisius College. This semester I am interning at the Elmwood Village Association(EVA), a local community organization providing community support and promoting local businesses in Elmwood Village.
Since I have started, I have had the opportunity to create a logo for the 2020 Summer Concert Series, assist with event planning and support with the Elmwood Village Farmers Market, and design signs for the community tree beds and planters. The EVA is currently running a membership drive to recruit new members and business partners. My role is to design brochures for the membership drive.
Recently, I have been working on the EVA website and assisting with the social media posts on Instagram. I am also getting a stronger understanding of community involvement and outreach and the facets of working with a non-profit, getting an idea of the positive contributions these organizations provide the community. I am very happy for this opportunity; I am enjoying my internship and I am excited to see what I learn this year.
