Hello everyone! My name is Gabrielle Darnaby, senior at Canisius College. This semester I am interning at Oishei Children’s Hospital with the Stones Buddies Program. My main responsibilities include keeping an updated database with our Stones Buddies, helping put together events for our Stones Buddies to participate in, helping run Stones Buddies events, spending time to get to know the Stones Buddies and their families, and making this program have a positive effect on our buddies’ lives. So far this internship has been treating me well, my supervisor is really sweet and is really trying to make this internship tailored to what I want to do in the future. I have not been able to meet any of the buddies yet because I do not have my hospital credentials yet, but I will have it in a week or more. I am looking forward to what this internship has in store for me, I will keep you all posted!
