For my networking event I went to the Buffalo Game Expo, held on September 15, 2019 at 500 Pearl Street, Buffalo NY. This event showcased games created by independent companies based around the Buffalo area.

I was able to talk to game developers and try out the many different games they had developed. I think the coolest experience was playing Freedom Finger by Wide Right Interactive. The game is a space shooter with an attitude and an adult swim cartoon aesthetic, and it was cool to be able to talk to a developer that had actually gone through with the release of one of their games on both console and PC.

From this experience, I gained exposure to the different game styles and as the night progressed I became more confident talking to developers about their projects. It was a really fun night and it showed that Buffalo is much wilder of a gaming scene than you would expect.
