My internship at Make-A-Wish has been an incredible experience, and one of the highlights of my college career. As I look back at my goals from the beginning of the semester, I feel as though I definitely achieved them. Throughout this semester, I have had the opportunity to work on a lot of design and marketing related materials. When creating these materials, I have learned what specific colors, fonts, shapes, and wording to use in order to comply with the Make-A-Wish brand.
I have also learned a lot more about what it is like to work for a non-profit organization. It is such a rewarding feeling to work for a non-profit organization. Something new I learned is that a lot of companies will have some sort of involvement with a charity not only to do something good, but to further engage their own employees and give them the same rewarding feeling.
After graduation, I am looking forward to searching for a job at a non-profit organization.
