My internship at Gelia has been a wonderful opportunity and experience.
I’ve learned so many new skills that will help me with my future in the creative work-field. My internship supervisor Alex has taught me new color correction and editing techniques in Adobe Premiere Pro, which I then used when creating their new employee training videos. I also learned how to create website banner ads using Adobe Animate CC, an entirely new program to me. I’ve learned how to use some of the animation plug-ins the company has acquired for After Effects, and gained knowledge on how to make change orders to ads. There was a casting meeting for an ad that I was able to take part in which was really cool, and I got to participate in a commercial video shoot for a Purolator cabin air filter ad.
I’ve picked up lots of skills during my internship at Gelia, and I’m excited to say that I’ve been offered a full-time position as a video editor. I will begin my career after graduation and I look forward to my future with Gelia!
