This semester I attended the Buffalo Boss Babes networking event at Lockhouse Distillery back in March. I was invited to attend this event with my supervisors at Step Out Buffalo. Buffalo Boss Babes is a woman-run blog project that features amazing women in and around the city of Buffalo, NY. Most of the woman who came to this event had their own businesses in the area.
The entire event was very laid back but I got to learn a lot about the many job opportunities there are for me in Buffalo after I graduate. It was a great experience going with my managers
because they introduced me to some of the clients that I write/ work with. It was nice to be able to develop a more personable connection with these individuals. This event made me feel
motivated because I was in a room surrounded by girls just like me who are beginning to start their careers, as well as other young adults who have made a name for themselves in the community. Overall, I left the event feeling very inspired, and know that if I keep working hard, I can succeed.
