My internship at The Greater Niagara Frontier Council of The Boy Scouts of America was highly successful in my opinion. I did not know how it would turn out but I am happy to say it was better than I expected. I got to plan and be a significant part of a $800,000 event for the Scouting organization, plus I learned and got to practice new skills that will absolutely be beneficial in the long run with future jobs.

My goal for this internship was to gain experience in communications and public relations, to be more skilled in networking and overall be able to see if I am a good fit in the profession. I would like to believe that I have fulfilled each of these goals to the best of my ability. I have not been able to network a lot during the internship, unfortunately, but I have picked up a few skills from the experiences I had. I believe that this internship was really good exposure for me and I hope to get something in the future as good as this with great supervisors like the people I worked for this summer.
