I never thought that my last day at Mr. Smith would come, but I’m sure last Thursday happened and I wasn’t dreaming of it instead. I feel like I made some awesome connections while being there, so I brought in coffee and doughnuts for everyone in the office. It was great to see their smiling faces and excitement for me to come in as well. On my desk there was a card that was signed by everyone in the office and a cool tea cloth (I’m not sure what its used for, but they all know I like tea so that was cool). They had also informed me that we were going to be having a pizza party for my last day as well and I was beaming with joy because they were also getting chicken wings and that’s always a fun time. I finished up a project for one of my managers and had my final reviews for my time spent there. It was great to reminisce  about my beginning days and first feelings of working at the office. I also had the chance to talk about my future and where I want to go after I graduate. I feel grateful to say that I will be going on to do a year of service in Florida, but I’m still having a hard time looking past that point. Graduating is such a blessing, but I’m sure like everyone else I’m very unsure of what I want to do. I fear that I’ll never land my dream job after college, and yes it is highly unlikely, but I feel like once I nail down exactly what I want to do, I’ll make incredible strides to be just that.

I am very grateful for everything that I have learned while at Mr. Smith and I think that It has showed me that hard work and dedication will ultimately win in the end. Knowing my boss graduated from Canisius College along with a lot of his team members and being successful at what they do is very uplifting. Every day was an adventure for me and I know that it’ll only bring me more knowledge and experience for later in life. Thank you Mr. Smith for everything!
