Today, I completed my final day at Independent Health. I finished up a few last minute tasks they needed done and had my goodbye meeting. I will definitely miss the group of women I worked with. I really couldn’t have asked for a better group to work with. They were so understanding, accommodating, personable and fun. They made it easy to go into work each week. I learned a lot during my internship there. I learned how to navigate a website and upload pages to it. I had a lot of fun creating my own healthy options recipes on a pdf and uploading them to their Healthy Options website. I was able to go home and show my mom that what she clicked on was a recipe I created and uploaded myself. I also had fun creating my own “tasty” video for their social media sites. I made and video taped a healthy options recipe and created an instructional video out of it. Those two were my favorite projects to work on. Other tasks I did will help me for future internships or jobs, like projects where I had to use a printer, photocopy, scan, etc. I learned a lot at Independent Health while also having fun. It was the best of both worlds! I highly suggest this internship to other students!
