2/28: Networking-Griff fair event on campus. This was the first Job Fair that I have attended where I actually was looking for employment. This is a different experience than going and just seeing what each company actually does. When you have the intention to get hired the situation is different, and slightly more awkward. Some companies that you’re really interested in don’t have positions in your field available, and some companies that you’re interested in don’t have any interest in your resume. Overall it is interesting to go through and meet new people, including professionals in a field that you want to go into. However, it is important to not get discouraged and to stay optimistic. Which is the biggest lesson I’ve learned from all of this.
