Today, February 7 2016, was my first day as an intern at Crosswater Digital Media. I arrived at their office on Delaware Ave. and was given a short introduction to audio editing until I was whisked away to help the production team at SUNY Buffalo State College. Crosswater had been assigned to film a 360 video of several different orchestras for virtual reality purposes. I was truly thrown into the fire in the best way possible as I was immediately helping a production team not even a half hour into my first day. They explained to me how the 360 microphones work, in addition to the camera being used, and I got a tour of one of the theaters at Buff State. I was already being treated as another helping hand, rather than an extra intern, which I enjoyed.
I look forward to being a part of every step in this project. I especially love being part of this project because it incorporates my love for music in addition to my passion for digital media. If this was only my first day, I look forward to the rest of my internship and the different projects I’ll be able to help with throughout the city of Buffalo.
