I am almost a month into my internship at Renoun Creative and it’s going better than I could have ever imagined. Honestly, I wish I was going more throughout the week. Unfortunately my schedule restricts me from doing so. I only go two days out of the week for 8 hours a day and I feel as though I am getting so much out of it already.

My work began with organizing spreadsheet information and plugging data into WordPress websites. Soon after, I started editing photos that would be used on web pages and learning more of the backend of WordPress, as well as sharpening my skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. More recently I have had input on business card designs and am working on ideas for a company’s new logo that we are creating. It feels fantastic to be working on actual projects of theirs and being able to significantly contribute to the work flow.

At first I was really nervous yet excited to be a part of the team at Renoun Creative but they have been so great thus far, making me feel right at home. There are only three people who work immediately within the company, which made it really easy to get to know all of them personally. I feel as though I can ask them any questions I may have and am so happy to be learning so much. Almost each day I go in the owner, my boss, dedicates time to teach me things about design I didn’t know before, sort of like mini lessons. I work closely with all three of them and it’s a great mixture of both a professional and casual atmosphere. We know how important business is and concentrate on our work, but we are also able to joke around and have a good time at the office. This group of people could not be a more perfect fit for me and they are providing me with so much more than I could have expected. I am really looking forward to the rest of my time with them!

Before you ask, yes, I do still make coffee. We do take turns making it, though, and we all drink A LOT of it.
