I was excited about my first day at WUFO, probably because I have been listening to the station every since I was in a freshman in high school. My mom loves the station; it’s all she listens to in the car. Taking her advice, I showed up to my internship twenty minutes early. After I got settled, I had a meeting with the owner of WUFO, my internship supervisor, and the lady who had recommended me as an intern. Never in my life had I been more nervous, sitting in the room with so many powerful black women, but at the same time I was extremely inspired. They were all so very nice. Afterwards, I was given a more in depth tour of the station. By the end of the day, even got to sit and watch the on air personalities do their job, which was really cool.
