What a Better Experience Than Interning at the Botanical Gardens?

This past semester I was honored to be able to complete my internship at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. I was able to gain more knowledge and experience than I had originally anticipated. Working for both the marketing and special events department was a great combination to be immersed in for my first internship. I was able to be very hands on when it came to learning the ins and outs of marketing strategies such a social media scheduling, database management, press releases, and much more. On the special events side of things I was able to see the logistics of how events are planned and executed. I worked all the major events the Botanical Gardens hosted and as time went on I was given more responsibilities. I would recommend other students in the future to take the opportunity to intern at the Botanical Gardens and hope they would have an amazing experience just as I had.
