When people hear the word Networking Event, they may think there is no way that they are going to a Networking Event at all. There could be people or companies that they have no interest in, or they just don’t want to go. The Networking Event that I attended was the PRSSA Networking Event in the Montante Cultural Center on Thursday April, 24.

When I first arrived at the event, I was greeted by two Freshmen members of PRSSA who told me about the itinerary for the night. I soon realized that there were students not only from Canisius, but as far as Fredonia as we mingled. One of the first people to talk at the event was Zach Schneider who talked about his company 15 Fingers. After he was finished there was one more presentation and then the networking begin. The first table that I sat at was Zach Schneider’s who explained how he got his start as the CEO of 15 Fingers. He also explained how he went to Canisius College, and had a great experience. The other table that I sat at was the Collegiate baseball leagues, who explained how students become journalist and videographers in the summer for minor league baseball teams. I was very impressed with the turn out, and the speakers at the event.
