Today marked my first day at WGR Sports Radio. Because I am interning with the AM radio show, I came in at 7AM. I got my own desk space and edited audio clips from Buffalo Bills kicker Scott Norwood as well as audio highlights from McDavid’s assists from last night’s Edmonton Oilers game.
After editing and cutting up audio on the New Boss Audio Edit software, I had the privilege to come in and watch the live radio show that my supervisor and two other sports radio hosts delivered. It was cool seeing how they set up and hearing them just talk sports. Then I heard the audio clip of Scott Norwood that I edited play live on the air. Although it was short, it was cool seeing that my work on day one went on air live. After having such an experience on my first day, I can’t wait to see how much I will progress and grow throughout the semester.
