We made it!

Look at us go!

Another semester in the books.  For many of us, Spring 2015 may be the very last time we are ever in a classroom setting again.  That could be quite the humbling thought for some…

I know, personally speaking, this semester has given me a run for my money.  Adding on roughly 20 hours every week for an unpaid experience can be awfully exhausting.  My internship at the NFTA was luckily well worth the challenge, but this did not make it any easier.

There were a lot more late nights and early mornings than ever before.  Planning had to be at an all-time high.  Coordinating and communicating with bosses, supervisors and professors had to be top notch.

That’s what growing up is all about though, right?  Well, at least until we all grow up enough to rule the world and be our own bosses…

That is one effect that this semester, particularly because of the internship, has certainly had on me: the realization that it is all coming to fruition now.  Along with differentiating and advancing my portfolio, learning many different marketing techniques, and meeting a lot of cool people with tons of connections (like Jim Kelly), the NFTA also made me realize adulthood isn’t as far away as it once seemed.

While it was a long semester, it was well worth it.  It helped me to prepare for what’s to come, and helped me to remain focused on my goals.

Thanks to everyone who helped along the way, and good luck to everyone graduating!
