The End of an HR Era

I never thought I would be writing my last post about my internship as I look forward to graduation. I have been at DNC for 10 months now, and it saddens me that I will be leaving the comfort of their human resources office so soon. Over the past 10 months, I learned more than I ever thought I would. With that, I think the last 4 months is when I learned the most. Whoever said that HR was boring was clearly in the wrong office. I have had the opportunity to work on unemployment cases, sit in on unemployment hearings, see the process for worker’s comp and see multiple audits take place. I was incredibly fortunate to have learned so much at this remarkable company, and to learn from such an amazing supervisor. I am incredibly sad to leave, but excited to take the knowledge that I’ve learned to different places.
