Informational Interview

For my informational interview, I talked to Tammy Boucher, Human Resources Assistant at AAA Western and Central New York. Tammy went to Daemen College for Business Administration.  She then went to Buffalo State College for Adult Education with a focus on Human Resources. She taught at Oracle Charter School for about 5 years and one summer she did an internship in the human resources department.  The next fall, AAA called her and hired her as the Human Resources Assistant where she has now been for almost 3 years. Her advice to me was simple. Don’t settle for any job that isn’t right for me. Keep fighting and working towards the job and career I want. She says I’m doing the right thing by doing an internship and getting hands on experience. She also told me to stay connected to my supervisor here because connections are so important.
