Sounding Off: Podcasts as Assessments

This session will detail the benefits of podcasting as the modality for final projects. The session will detail how creating, editing, and distributing podcasts help students develop science communication skills.
Introduction to Microsoft Teams
10:30AM to 11:45AM
This session will introduce Microsoft Teams, a powerful productivity tool. We will discuss how to create a Chat and a Team and which one is appropriate for specific tasks. We will also discuss how to manage your Outlook Calendar right from Teams and, time permitting, create a Team meant specifically for classes.

“AI and Art in a Political Science Classroom: The Work of Narsiso Martinez”

Do you feel a bit lost or overwhelmed with all of the fast paced developments of Artificial Intelligence (AI)? What are chatbots? What are large language models? This session will offer participants a broad overview of the various AI tools available and how they can be incorporated into your instructional toolbox for both instructor and student use. We will also discuss the ethical concerns and issues that coincide with AI use. This session is appropriate for all grade levels and content areas.
