On Friday, October 13th at 11:00 AM is our second Serious Games Meetup of the 2017/2018 year.  Dr. Leah MacVie returns to speak about games for teaching and learning.  The upcoming meetup is a workshop-style gathering; MacVie will demonstrate practical ways to incorporate gamification principles into course design.  We’ll be meeting in LY 122.  Come and find out how you can add game elements to your courses!

Serious Games serves a wide variety of purposes: educational, scientific simulation, healthcare and therapy, personnel training, emergency management, city planning, and politics.  The Serious Games Meetup Group explores learning theories and game design, and conducts workshops for faculty, staff, and students that explore digital and analog game use and creation.  And yes, we play some games, too.
