Panopto has notified customers that viewer statistics for video views between May 30th and June 6th may not be completely accurate. If a user navigates away from the tab in which the video is playing, and then returns, any subsequent viewing is not recorded in viewing statistics (unless the viewer refreshed the page.)
This did not impact video playback, and the problem should be fixed on June 7th. But faculty should be aware that if students viewed course videos in the last week, their viewing time may not have been completely recorded.
UPDATE, June 13th:
Panopto has fixed this issue and put in place more automated and manual testing to prevent issues like this one from happening again.
