It’s very frustrating when a meeting, presentation, or class is about to start, and the presenter cannot connect their laptop to the projector or display screen in the room. The Canisius College Media Center provides fantastic digital and audiovisual support for college faculty and staff, and their latest is a handy guide to video outputs on laptops, so we can plan for an upcoming class, meeting, or presentation.
If you identify your laptop’s video output well in advance of the class or meeting, you can be sure that you’ll be able to hitch the laptop to the display equipment. If you need an adapter, you can obtain one beforehand, instead of frantically rushing just before the event.
Adapters are available for sign-out from both the Bouwhuis Library and the Media Center. Additionally, the Office of Event Services can provide adapters for an event if the proper adapter is specified in advance.
