It has been noted in many circles that when presented with an Academic Honesty Pledge, students are less likely to cheat on quizzes, exams or assignments.
Click this video for information on how to encourage students to take the pledge before taking quizzes and completing course activities.
This video also discusses other ways you can restrict course activities based on the completion of other activities. For example, you can make it so that the weekly discussion board does not appear to students until they read the week’s article or do the week’s lesson. Or a student needs to do an activity before doing being able to the dropbox assignment. And so on.
