In D2L, on Dropboxes and Discussion, we can set how the Start Date and End Date behave as far as how much of the activity students can view at what time.
There are three options:
- Visible with access restricted: This is the default option (tutorial below on how to change the default). Students can see the title of the Dropbox or Discussion and Start, End, and Due dates. However, they cannot access it nor see the directions/prompt nor submit until the specified Start Date. If this option is on the End Date, students will lose access to the activity after the End Date.
- Visible with submission restricted: Students can see everything that Visible with access restricted allowed. They can also see the directions/prompt. However, Students will not be able to submit until the Start Date. If this is on the End Date, students will lose the ability to submit after the End Date.
- Hidden: Hidden hides the activity completely from students until the specified Start Date. If this option is on the End Date, it will completely hide the activity after the End Date from students.
