Copyleaks can now be activated right in the D2L Dropbox– no more stand-alone assignment needed. In the D2L Dropbox Editor Screen, simply go to the Evaluation & Feedback section. From there, click on Add External Tool. It should automatically default to the Copyleaks Asset Processor Tool. All we need to do is click on “Register Tool”.

This deeper integration not only makes it easier to grade and provide feedback on assignments; it should also help mitigate access issues.

For a more detailed tutorial, see the Copyleaks: Use Copyleaks in a D2L Dropbox Wiki page. As for viewing the Copyleaks Report, see the Copyleaks: Viewing Copyleaks Reports from the Dropbox Wiki page.

Note that students must accept the Copyleaks End User License Agreement (EULA) for their file(s) to be scanned by Copyleaks. Students need only accept the EULA once. A tutorial for students on how to accept the EULA is available on the Copyleaks Students: Accept the EULA Wiki page, including links to Copyleaks’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If students do not accept the EULA, Copyleaks will not scan their document. In this case, student will need to re-upload their file to the Dropbox and accept the EULA or faculty will need to download the file and use the Teacher Scan Tool.

Additional tutorials for Copyleaks can be found the Copyleaks Wiki page, including an updated Copyleaks: Student Tutorials Wiki page.
