The Office of the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs is beginning a series of workshops for the 2016-2017 year with three sessions focused on advising students and academic integrity:

Navigating Canisius: Using the New Catalog (presented by Sara Morris). Learn the ins and outs of the new catalog and how it can be used in advising students. This will include where to find different information (and what information is available) related to majors, minors, the core curriculum, the honors program, and academic policies.

  • Friday 10/21 (2-3 pm) in OM 119

Navigating Canisius: Advising and iAdvise (presented by Sara Morris). This is an opportunity to learn or review the different types of information available in iAdvise and how it can be used to help with advising students or reminding yourself of information when writing letters of reference.

  • Wednesday 10/19 (3-4 pm) in OM 119

Navigating Canisius: What Faculty Need to Know About Academic Integrity (presented by Barbara Porter). Do you have questions about what you are required to do and what your options are when you have a case (or a suspected case) of academic misconduct? Dr. Porter will provide an overview of what faculty should do and why this continues to be a problem on campus.
