The Academic Affairs Office at Canisius College is hosting an Adjunct Faculty Information Session on Monday, January 8th at 5:30 PM.  This will take place in Old Main 119.  Refreshments will be served.

The orientation will include information from human resources, information about services available on campus, teaching for mission at a Jesuit college, and an introduction to the tools supported by the Center for Online Learning and Innovation (COLI), including the use of D2L, our course management software.  This event is not mandatory, but we will show you things that can save you time and effort.  Obviously this session can benefit adjunct professors new to Canisius College, but even if you’ve taught at Canisius before, you might learn something or meet folks that can help you in the future.  Please RSVP to Kathy Peter at peter@canisius.edu or at 888-2121 so we have an estimate of the number of people attending.

Also, in Academic Affairs and the Center for Online Learning & Innovation, we’d like to hear from you: what sorts of workshops, trainings, or information sessions can we offer at the beginning or throughout the semester that can help you in teaching, course management, communication, or other aspects of your work at Canisius?  Let us know at coli@canisius.edu!

Thanks for all you do for our students, and best wishes for a fabulous Spring semester.
