Reflection by Cara Smith ’22

As I thought about “This day you will be with me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43), to me, even though in the context of Jesus’ death it’s a tad bit sad, it’s also a great reminder of the promise of heaven and what God has for us beyond this life. And that’s an amazing thing!

This kind of reminds me of the Colton Dixon song when he says, “And when that day comes and I see your face I shout your endless glorious praise” because despite how frightening it can be at times to imagine not being on earth, on that day we will truly see the most beautiful thing our souls have ever seen and that joy God tells us of gives me hope and should give everyone hope.
