Life is the one thing that’s always there, and we should never be denied that right. Suicide, execution, war, abortion and other actions disrespect the basic right that all humans are born with, the right to Life. However, in many countries including the U.S. the right to life is denied to many, whether is by choice or not, we have not been given the right to give or take life. And personally I believe that peace and justice will never be reached unless we learn to respect this basic human right. Therefore, this month of October let’s keep in mind how amazing life is and why we all deserve to live it at its fullest.
The Respect Life Program of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) urges us to consider to numerous human life issues. On October 6th, masses throughout the country will call attention to euthanasia, physician-assisted suicide, abortion, capital punishment and other actions that disrespect human life at any stage. At Canisius, we will be encouraged to pray for victims that have been denied the unalienable right to life. Come join us!
