Dear ACAC representatives,
Thank you for volunteering your time and expertise. The Academic Computing Advisory Committee (ACAC) has been around since the 1980s with the goal of giving faculty input on issues of computing and technology. It is a meeting of reps. from the faculty, ITS, COLI, and the Media Center. In the past, meetings involved announcements and issues brought to the ACAC by Scott Clark (ITS) and Mark Gallimore (COLI). This year, I would like to reverse things and have the faculty talk about their needs.
I heard rumors that faculty are busy, so we will reduce the number so meetings to 2 per semester. They will be
- October 1, 2019 – 4:00pm
- December 3, 2019 – 4:00pm
We will meet in the President’s Board Room (PBR) in Bagen. I tried to find a time when everyone is free (see heat map of class schedules from CLSS). If you cannot make the meeting, please read the ACAC blog (https://blogs.canisius.edu/acac/). I will post minutes in a somewhat timely fashion. Feel free to add to the blog.
Lastly, for our first meeting, COLI will generously provide refreshments.
- ITS Updates – S. Clark (5 min)
- COLI Updates – M. Gallimore (5 min)
- Media Center Updates – D. Drew (5 min)
- Faculty needs – anyone in the room (until we adjourn)
See you Oct. 1,
Mike (ACAC chair)
