Back in the Saddle Again
By Meghan '12 | March 26, 2012
I know it’s a little late on the update, but my spring break was pretty enjoyable! Like I said earlier, I drove to Albany to visit Ben and I stayed there for a week. Some parts of the week were uneventful, but we had a lot of fun. I already told you about our first couple days, so I’ll start off there!
Over the course of the week, Ben and I managed to eat out several times. We went to Chili’s, as I mentioned in a previous post, an authentic Mexican restaurant called La Fiesta, and a nice Italian restaurant called Delmonico’s. La Fiesta had super amazing Mexican food for real. I ordered the “Grande” or “Mucho” or something of the sort and it was THREE plates of food!!! I’m not even ashamed that I ate a lot of it, either. Delmonico’s was a little more upscale and I got a delicious Filet Mignon that came with garlic noodles. It was super delicious (:
We also went to the movies while I was there and saw 21 Jump Street! I thought it was pretty good, despite the theater being a little shady. The theater we went to was in a mall that was, besides for the theater, mostly shut down. When looking for the place I noticed “Caution” taped hallways and barred up stores. Talk about sketchy! It was worth it thought because the movie was nice and the theater wasn’t actually too bad (once we actually found it!)
Ben and I also went dancing one night! It’s so weird to say that because Ben and I are NOT dance-y people. I’m a horrible dancer and he doesn’t really enjoy it. But we decided to try something new and had a lot of fun doing it. We are thinking of going again sometime, too! It’s weird how new experiences can change your opinion on something.
Well then it was back to school, where I still am. I have so much work to get done before Easter and I am losing my mind! Good thing it’s only a week or so away; at this point, I just need another break already!
Until Later!
Meghan (:
