Leap Dayyyy!!
By Meghan '12 | February 29, 2012
To quote 30 Rock, “Remember, nothing counts on Leap Day! Real life is for March!”
This makes me want to run around an be crazy today (but not literally because I have a dull headache). But today must be magical because it is full of pleasant surprises! First, free cookies at Subway! Then, my tax refund check came today! Lastly, my family and I are going to see Les Miserables at Shea’s tonight (which I completely forgot about).
Which brings me to my typical off-topic thought, I love seeing musicals. I have probably seen a fair number over the course of my life and I am somewhat surprised at how much I enjoy them. I feel like a lot of people find them boring or uninteresting, but it’s pretty much like seeing a movie live. The stories are always well constructed and filled with subtle humor. I always try to buy a souvenir from each show I go to as a reminder of how nice I thought it was. My collection is vastly growing!
Random topic number two: I am starting to get worried about the lack of response I’ve heard regarding a number of things. Grad school, potential employers, other students…I keep getting worried that I am missing something. But then I check and, nope, the world just hates me! Okay, that’s a tad over-dramatic. And I know that I am still within the normal time frame to hear back about these opportunities, but my brain keeps spazzing because it lacks any sort of patience. I am so anxious that I check my email and every school’s/employer’s websites constantly, looking for updates. They just need to tell me already before I explode!
Well, time for me to get ready for the show! Until later!
Meghan (:
