Hurry Spring!

This Buffalo weather is messing with me and I’m afraid I’m going to get sick when it keeps tricking me. One day it’s a blizzard and the next day it’s sunny like it is right now as I stare out my window. I can’t really complain too much because we haven’t had that much snow, but the wind has been crazy and cold. Burrr! I recently heard about a little boy getting knocked over by the wind in Chicago, so once again I can’t complain about the wind here… and I don’t think anyone has been knocked over from our gusts of wind.
So, it’s clear I’m ready for spring and have been for a while now. Spring at Canisius is my favorite for many reasons. Who doesn’t love sitting out in the quad on a nice sunny day to read a book, listen to music, do some homework, or pass a soccer ball around. I even like sitting in our little “backyard” behind Main Humboldt Apartments. Although I have become a pro at dodging the big rain puddles that have huge potential for soaking me when a car drives by, I’m excited for warmer weather and dry streets.
Like always the semester is flying by, but this might be the fastest one yet. Only several more days until spring break, which is nice because everyone needs a break from schoolwork and a little time to go on vacation (not me because I’m broke from Italy!!) I have to say I’m pretty proud of my roommates and I for getting back in the swing of things so fast after transitioning from Italy. I miss it a little more everyday, but that was expected. I have been having quite the adventures being back at Canisius so it makes up for a lot that I missed last semester. I’m sure there are more to come when it gets a little warmer.
