Oh, bother. I thought I updated everyone on Friday after the show, but I guess not. So let me cut right to the chase!
First off, the title of this blog. All rights go to a high school friend of mine named Ryan Meinzer. This was his interpretation to the opening lyrics of “Circle of Life.” I think it’s extra hilarious because I used to own pajamas exactly like that! (Try singing those lyrics with the very beginning of”Circle of Life,” it’s so funny and fitting!) I couldn’t help but think of that during the performance Friday!
Anyways, The Lion King was AMAZING! I’m sure everyone who has gone has said that, but seriously it was so good! I bought myself a mug and and a cool replica of Simba’s mask. It’s amazing how incredibly good the music was, too. It sounded so authentic and the performers were so talented! I don’t mean to sound naive by saying this, but a lot of the character voices and musical performances sounded exactly like they did in the movie. It was so awesome! I’m so glad I convinced my family and Ben to come. I love seeing performances at Shea’s and the Lion King definitely has fallen into my top favorite now! I wish I could have taken pictures, but it’s prohibited. I completely understand why, but it would have been neat to share some of that experience on here!
So while I have a minute, how many of you came to the Canisius Club Field Hockey game Saturday? Huh, huh? Well, probably not too many; the weather was pretty gross! Father Bucki came, though, and posted lots of pictures! It was a great time supporting a great cause. And……we won!!! Yep, we won I think 6-0 against Geneseo! I guess we’re just that awesome :P
I also registered for classes for the last time this weekend! It was a bittersweet experience. It’s so weird to me to know I am a second semester senior! And that next semester is my last here at Canisius! It’s really hard to believe 4 years has almost gone by already. Honestly, I feel like it was just yesterday that I was graduating high school. Now I’m almost off into the…*gulp*…real world! I hope I am ready when the time comes; I still don’t really have a definite plan of action. I should get moving on that…
Tomorrow is Halloween! Oh man, I can’t wait to share some stories about it! On that note, off to bed!
