October’s almost over?!

This weekend was jam-packed and busy for me! And by weekend, I mean Saturday. It started with a 4-hour long practice GRE exam. Oy vay. At least it went by pretty fast! Also, I was kind of surprised how I did on it. I expected to do a lot worse than I actually did. Maybe I’m almost ready for the real thing? And applying to grad school? Who knows, really. At this point, that area of my life is a big pile of stress that I’m not sure I’m ready to deal with. Unfortunately, I don’t have much time! I need to look into applications, scholarships, and actually taking the GRE. I’m just so nervous!
After that adventure, I took part in our Club Field Hockey’s Midnight Madness Tournament at Niagara University. It was really fun! Our team played 4 half hour games (each separated by an hour break) and then one last half hour game to determine our standing. We won second! It was really cool. I have definitely learned that my endurance is very low and I have lost most field hockey skills (if I ever had any haha). everyone on the team is really skilled and incredibly nice, though, so I wasn’t too embarrassed of my inferior playing. I was really surprised at how many people got hurt! Some of the other teams (who will remained unnamed) were being pretty aggressive and violent; I had a huge welt/bruise on my thigh to prove it! Our team caused a few injuries, too, but I can safely say they were all by accident. I’m really glad I got the chance to join the team! (Even though I’m still sore from merely exercising, ugh, I’m so out of shape!) Everyone should come out and support us at our next game, this Saturday, October 29th at 1:00 p.m. It’s at the Athletic Center, so you won’t even have to go far! Admission is $1.00 because all proceeds are being donated to a Breast Cancer Foundation.
Anyways, this week is pretty busy (and exciting!) for me. Besides our game Saturday, I’m seeing the Lion King at Shea’s on Friday, and my boyfriend will be home this weekend so we can go to some Halloween parties! I’ll try to keep updating best as I can because I know all those adventures will be too great to miss (hehe).
