Time Is Moving Fast
By Lyndsay | October 20, 2011

I’m half way through my semester in Florence and I cannot believe it! It went by so fast, where did the time go? I just finished my last midterm today after having one for every class. They weren’t super easy, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I am definitely missing the Canisius library for a couple reasons. Tim Horton’s and bonus bucks save my life during exam weeks. Also, the library here is really small so there are not many places to sit and study. Plus, it doesn’t stay open nearly as late as the library at Canisius. No big deal though, I managed and I think I did pretty well on most of my exams. I’m glad to be finished with them because now I can look forward to our fall break!
My roommate and I are visiting Barcelona and Madrid, Spain for a week. We are meeting up with one a friend who is studying there too and I am beyond excited. Nowhere near packed or prepared for what is in store, I feel like this is going to be interesting week. I still have not printed my boarding passes, or gotten my train tickets, or figured out what I can and cannot actually bring on the plane.
It is seriously just so crazy to me that it is so cheap to fly here and so convenient. This experience abroad is just getting better and better. Spain! I never would have thought I’d be traveling this much in such a short amount of time. It’s happening and I am taking it all in. I’m hoping everything goes smoothly during our travels. I’m not going to lie it is a little overwhelming especially with just having exams, but I m finally starting to relax and look forward to a really nice break. Cece and I really want to go to the aquarium in Barcelona because I guess it is HUGE and well known around the world. (I had no idea…oops) We also want to try to see a bullfight and maybe some flamingo dancers. Thanks to both of our mom’s visiting Spain before, they gave us the scoop of places to go and things to see. We will see how this goes. Fingers crossed.
