Bills Fever

By James | October 12, 2011

NO ONE CAN CIRCLE THE WAGONS LIKE THE BUFFALO BILLS.

I really don’t need to say anything more than that, but I will. I have been a season ticket holder (with my family) to the Buffalo Bills since being born. I’ve witnessed the Superbowl years (even though I was only 3 at the height of it), the terrible years (the past 11), and this year. And, while I have previously thought that the bills were good, this year is different. The stadium has a different feel this year – people are actually smiling. People are actually having fun. And most importantly, people are BILL-ieving again. And while this may be the first year in a long time that this has happened, I don’t want it to end.
When the Bills win a game, Monday just seems sweeter. I don’t mind going to classes, and I love reading the great things that ESPN has to say about Fitzmagic running the offense and Barnett running the defense. I love waking up each of the next six mornings dreaming about that weeks game and the possibilities that are before us. And most of all, I love seeing my family act like I’m sure they did during the 90′s when the Bills were a force to be reckoned with.
So if you ever get the chance to visit Canisius (this is to all of you perspective students out there) make sure to come on a Sunday around 1:00 PM. You won’t need a radio to tell you if the Bills have scored because you will be able to hear the students of Canisius yell from dorm to dorm about the great touchdown run that Jackson just had – and trust me, all of us here at Canisius are BILL-ieving, so why don’t you?
