Where did the summer go? I cannot believe that it is already August and school starts up again in less than three weeks! I feel as though it’s going to be very interesting to be back in classes in the states because they are structured so much differently than classes in Spain were. Yesterday, I completed everyone’s favorite part of returning for the semester; buying textbooks. The bookstore makes it very easy to buy your textbooks or even rent them, which is what I prefer to do. That way, once the semester is done, my books are not accumulating and the best part is that I save about 50% on the price of my books by renting them. I honestly could not believe how cheap some of my books came out to be which left both my wallet and myself extremely happy!
It will for sure be nice to be back on campus and able to see a lot of my friends that I have not seen since last fall and I will be able to catch up with them too. I’m really looking forward to the first week of classes because it is Welcome Week and the first Thursday, we have the Mass of the Holy Spirit and Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue! At night there is a huge bonfire where students can bring in anything that is purple, since Niagara is our rival, and you will receive a free Canisius shirt from C-block!
I’m really looking forward to being back around everything that makes Canisius campus so much fun and enjoyable! :)
