Breakfast with Obama
By Michael | March 31, 2011
Have you ever been arguing or debating about something and you were for sure you were right? Now how about the time you knew you were right but were wrong? Well this has just happened to me.
I was having a conversation with my friend and we were having a light-hearted debate about politics. The basis of the conversation was that in my opinion president Obama was going to win a reelection campaign relatively easy. Now you don’t have to be a political person to understand the importance of a presidential election. Republican or Democrat it doesn’t matter, but my point was that barring some huge political change he had the reelection in the bag…
Man I spoke to soon…. In a manner of a week I have egg on my face. The world is on shaky ground.
The US is now “not” entering into a new war. Call me old fashion but when we start to do air raids over another country. I’m pretty sure that might be met with some opposition. Regardless if the United Nations agree or not.
The Japanese country is on the brink of destruction, the earthquake and tsunami was devastating. However, the natural disasters have had a ripple effect on the society structure. The country is emotionally, physically, and financially in ruins.
With all that internationally we cannot forget about home base and the employment rates. Oh yea let us add to the fact that, that pesky economy JUST will not turn around. The Obama administration is going to have to address and calm this issue for a successful reelections year.
I just hate looking wrong and this week it is happening.
