Halloween and Hockey!

By Angela | October 31, 2010

Halloween weekend was quite a success and also eventful. Many sports games took place this weekend, including the Men’s Hockey home opener. The hockey team played a double header vs Army Friday and Saturday.  The team had a great shutout Friday night, winning 4-0 and fell short Saturday losing 2-1. Saturday at the game my friends and I got to go on the ice during half time and I got to wrap my friend up as a mummy as a promotion. We ended up winning and it was really fun! Hockey games are held at Buffalo State College and there is a shuttle to take students to all of the home games. The shuttle leaves the student center at 6 and runs throughout the hour until the games start at 7. The big Niagara game is this Tuesday at 7:05! The first 300 people into the game get a t-shirt. The more people the better!

Also this weekend, I saw a lot of interesting costumes. The big costume this year was Lady Gaga along with the “Lax Bro”. The most creative costume I though was my friend dressed as Clifford the Big Red Dog! As always great times were shared with great people. It is exciting now that the holidays are approaching. The thought of snow is quite upsetting but hopefully it will come and go fast!
