Halloween Festivities!

By Angela | October 28, 2010

Halloween is in the air. The leaves have changed and the houses are all decorated with cobwebs and carved jack-o-lanterns. Not only are the houses decorated, but also the dining hall is. This is the one time of year where everyone gets to dress up and be something they aren’t. Many people have been planning their costumes for weeks and some are doing some last minute shopping. I anticipate to see all of the costumes everyone decides to put together. I have already heard about some pretty funny ones. As for me, I’m sticking with the classic Ninja Turtle. It was a cheap costume to make and as a college student, I don’t have the money to be buying an inflated pumpkin costume like when I was a kid.

There have already been some Halloween events and things occurring on campus. The Greek life is holding a haunted house in Palisano Pavilion. I was pretty impressed with the set up of it for a college haunted house. It was a fun little thriller to go through and is especially fun if you’re with your friends. Not to mention free treats at the end! Also, if you’re a resident be sure to check your mailbox because there is candy in there!

Before you let all of the Halloween festivities begin this weekend, be sure to catch the shuttle to Buff State to watch Canisius Hockey take on Army both Friday and Saturday at 7:05!
