Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday dear Katie!
-For my little sister!
Okay, people, it’s getting down to the wire! I’ve got some Euros, mostly packed, and my moolah. My mom helped me to order some Euros for a decent exchange rate, so I’m going to have some money for when I first arrive so I don’t have to freak out. And luckily for me, Nancy from Student Accounts was uber helpful in getting me my student refund! Otherwise, I would’ve been waiting a few more weeks for money to live on! Thanks, Nancy!
Packing is….not going quite as good as I had hoped. It’s not like it’s going bad, but I literally have no room in my suitcase and a few more things to pack. I have a bunch of packing lists from both Canisius and my abroad university saying, “DON’T PACK TOO MUCH!” yet here I am, full to the brim. I really don’t know what else to cut! I kind of NEED clothes and whatnot! At any rate, I have a lot of stuff and a heavy suitcase. Oh, jeepers.
Yesterday, I had a few friends and family members over to say goodbye. It was nice to hang out with everyone one last time. We mostly played board games and just chatted. At one point, my best friend busted out her video camera and we watched this sad attempt at a movie we once tried to make. It was for a school project for me, a reenactment using only things we could find in my basement of The Ramayana. It was pretty pathetic, but hysterically so. Barbies just aren’t that great of actors I guess, and Mr. Potato Heads don’t really do Hindi gods justice.
Today I really have to clean my room. It’s getting bad. There is stuff EVERYWHERE and I don’t want to come back in December to a dirty, smelly room. Once I clean up in here, I think I’ll be a little less stressed out; I currently feel like I have a billion things to do before I go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night was my last night with my boyfriend until December. I guess tomorrow night is my last night with pretty much everyone else until December, but Ben and I normally have to say goodbye for a long time because his school is so far away. It’s weird knowing that I’m actually going to be farther away than him this semester.
This post seems really all over the place and for that, I apologize. My brain is going a mile a minute currently. I should probably get going because today is my little sister’s birthday! I will update tomorrow or the morning I leave on my progress!!!!
only 2 days!!!!!!!!!
