Hot Spot in Buffalo
By Emily | March 22, 2010
I am LOVING this warm weather. Well actually, it’ supposed to snow today, HA. But it was warm for at least a few days. And very sunny! Knowing that it wouldn’t last too long, my boyfriend and I took the opportunity to go to our FAVORITE place in Buffalo. I think it’s the most beautiful part of our city and I would probably go there every day if I could. I guess that wouldn’t make it as special though… Anyway, BEHOLD- Hoyt Lake. A gorgeous spot behind the Art Museum (also beautiful).
Check it out:

Doesn’t it look great? And the best part is that it’s only about a 5-10min drive from Canisius. There is more to this area than the lake too. They have a beautiful rose garden with a big Roman-looking stage type thing- lots of people take their wedding pictures there. Two steps from the garden is a HUGE stage where they put on FREE Shakespearean plays during the summer! Usually they do three a summer. People will bring blankets and chairs and maybe a little picnic and watch a free show! There are paths here and there as well where you will find statues randomly placed. It’s definitely one of the nicest and most cultural places in Buffalo. So if you’re here- DEF stop by. It’s off of Elmwood right by the Rockwell Museum of Art.
Back to work! <3 Emily
