Pants on FIRE

By Emily | September 27, 2009

Alright so I lied.  I told you I would be back on Thursday, and I wasn’t.  But what can I say, I told you I was swamped!  Anyway, here are the Bills pictures I promised:

Awesome (but a little warped) panoramic pic of the stadium from my sweet phone!

As for the game that occurred today…I’d rather not speak of it.  Also, still working on getting those pictures of El Buen Amigo up.  They will show up some time, I’m almost positive.

I have some very exciting news!  I received an e-mail about two weeks ago telling me that I was one of the lucky recipients of the Gene Jankowski scholarship!  What a blessing!  About a week after receiving it, I was told that the giver of my scholarship, the previous president and CEO of CBS, would be visiting Canisius and he would like to meet the people who were given the award.  I was fortunate enough to be able to go, and I learned a lot about his life and how he became so successful.  Approximately a week after that, I received a call from the women who runs the scholarship office asking me to speak at the annual scholarship mass and brunch!  How awesome!  Needless to say I am absolutely thrilled, but at the same time, I’m pretty nervous…  I mean, I will be speaking in front of a variety of widely successful people, who could potentially be one of my employers in the future (fingers crossed).  I do have time though because the event isn’t until October 25th.

In other news, my family bought a new kitten!  Might have said that already, but it doesn’t matter because I’m still just as excited AND I have an adorable picture to share with you:

Can you stand the cuteness!?!?

Time to get some work done.  Talk to you guys soon. Oh and by the way…it’s my 20th birthday on Sunday!!! AH!  Goodbye teenage years!
