The Start of Classes

By Michael | August 26, 2009

Hey Everyone,

Classes have officially begun here at Canisius as you may already know…and I have mixed emotions. There is always so many things going on  the first week of classes. I am seeing new faces and faces I have not seen in months. There is Move-in, schedules, roommates, books, clubs, paper work, etc etc. All this has to been done very quick, so by the time you are a junior you are tuned into this organized confusion. You almost come to expect and enjoy it, even if you complain a little.

Well this is the first time I am not taking part in these “festivities”. I know going abroad will be fun and I leave soon ( Sept18th at 2:30pm to be exact!) and I am very excited. On the other side I do feel a little left out. It is a feeling I really can not bring words to. It is a feeling of just being in the moment; walking across the Quad on a fall morning with my $100+ books in hand. It is something I am just not having ….well I digress.

As Fr. Bucki would say Relax!… have fun make a little mistakes it will help you grow and remember this year and make the most of it. Once its gone its gone. Hold on to that excitement.
