Work vs. CMI

By Dan | July 9, 2009

¡Hola!

First of all, I don’t know why I decided to start off this blog in Spanish. I did take the language since seventh grade. I guess it just came back to me.

My job is going well. My boss just got back from Las Vegas, and I think that he is still in the Western Time Zone. Oh well, more spare time for me to blog at work!

Now, down to business. My new dilemma is whether or not I should apply for CMI: Buffalo. Campus Ministry Immersion week sounds to me like a good way to get to know Canisius. I have extensively perused the website and I still can’t make up my mind. I get to move into my dorm a week early, do activities to get to know the campus, and meet some more 2013 classmates. Go 2013!

On the other hand, this would mean taking more time off from work, which equates to less money. It also means giving up some time to pack the stuff for my dorm, and taking a few days off before moving to Canisius.

Hmm…Money or Canisius? IDK.

    Hi Dan,

My name is Joel Francia and I led the CMI last year. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do it this year but I strongly encourage you to apply. The CMI students we had last year can attest to how the whole experience was worth it and how much they became more comfortable and adjusted to Canisius. This will really give you a leg up in your first year college career and will give you a chance to know other first year students way before classes start.

    Joel Francia
